Canada Student Visa Process

The Canadian Government checks the application to make sure students have all the necessary documents. If it’s incomplete, they may return the application without processing it or request the missing documents.

Students might have to go to an interview with the officials in the country &  might be asked to provide biometric information to clear all the necessary clearance.
  • If they are from a specific country, they may also need to get a temporary residency permit but this will not add too much to the procedure because it will be handled at the same time as the study permit application.
  • If they are deemed to be qualified, students will be given a 60-day personal checklist code that they will use to complete their application online. Make a copy of the page that contains the code for future use.
  • They’ll also find an application guide, an estimate of the tuition expenses, a list of papers they’ll need to send with the application. Students' unique document checklists will be emailed to them, allowing them to upload and transmit the papers to CIC.
