- Include information about your prior academic qualifications, including grades for those qualifications. The transcripts must be in English and have thorough documentation.
- Statement Of Purpose (SOP): US institutions need something more like a cover letter to let them know that you intend to study abroad.
- Letter of recommendation (LOR): A document or letter of reference from a previous employer or professor outlining your talents, skills, and academic strengths, as well as what contributions you can make to the subject of study of your choice.
- Therefore, in addition to other application materials, you must submit an updated copy of your résumé outlining your professional experience, qualifications, and other accomplishments.
- When confirming acceptance, several US colleges may request Proof Of Finances (POF). POF serves as evidence of your financial ability to cover your costs while you are a student in the US. Bank statements from the candidate's parents or legal guardians are acceptable forms of POF.

Keep track of the progress of your university application: You often receive the acceptance letter by mail or post. However, not every US university adopts the customary strategy of responding to your application. You may need to contact them to know whether the university has accepted or rejected your application.
Confirm your acceptance and finish the remaining entrance requirements: You must confirm your interest in the university after receiving a letter of confirmation from it. After that, reserve your accommodation, deposit, and complete the necessary paperwork. Begin the visa application procedure by Applying for a Visa is the final step of the master's or MBA application process in the USA.

USA Student Visa
The F-1 visa is the non-immigrant graduate student visa you'll need if you're planning to study full-time at a US business school.
For new students, F visas can be issued up to 120 days in advance of the start date for your course; you'll not be allowed to enter the US on your student visa more than 30 days before the start date of your course.
If you're on an F-1 visa, you can also undertake an internship after completing at least one full academic year of study. This will likely be completed as Curricular Practical Training (CPT).
Employment for 20 hours or more a week counts as a full-time internship. You should be aware that 12 months or more of full-time CPT will eliminate your Optional Practical Training (OPT) eligibility. Students often use OPT to remain in the US for 12 months to work after graduation.
You'll need the following when applying for your US graduate student visa:
- Passport—this must be valid for at least six months beyond your period of stay in the US
- Non-immigrant visa application—Form DS-160
- Application fee payment receipt, if required to pay before your interview
- Photo
- Certificate of Eligibility for Non-immigrant (F-1) student status, Form I-20
You may also need:
- Academic transcripts, diplomas, degrees, or certificates from schools you attended
- Standardised test scores required by your US school
- Your intent to depart the US upon completion of your course of study
- Sufficient funds to pay for your stay.
You can always apply, no matter your age. Young applicants can apply right away after receiving their undergraduate degree or in their final year of study at several prestigious programmes (HBS, Stanford, Wharton, Kellogg, Booth, Columbia, MIT), defer their enrollment, and use the extra time to get further job experience.
